I am really glad that summer is almost over. I am, not gonna lie, I have never liked this season. Being fat during summer is not a good combination. It gets hot, your thighs sweat; actually everything sweats, and when you can't wear the proper attire because you look like a beached whale, what is there left to enjoy? The only good things are slurpees and ice cream and that only feels good for the entire minute it takes to consume them.
Every fat person secretly hates the summer ... it's true. Some just won't admit it because then people will think that it's because they are fat and they don't want people thinking that. Every April I tell myself "Ok, this summer I am going to finally be skinny and wear a bathing suit" something I have not done since I was 11 when I had not yet discovered self-consciousness. So far, that summer has not come yet - boo hoo. I am not going to feel sorry for myself, it takes a lot more that slurpees and ice cream to be fat and I have done a lot to get to where I am.
So ... as this heat wave that we are experiencing wraps up and soon summer will turn into fall, I know in my heart that next summer, I will wear a bathing suit. Maybe I will be ambitious enough to wear a bikini!

Hello
If you are reading this, WELCOME! You are invited into the lives of two chicks on a mission to lose 30 pounds.
Why is this interesting?
It's not, we just want a place to track our progress and hey, what better place than the internet.
Who are we?
You might know us. You might not. It doesn't matter because we like are every person who has ever struggled with being chubby, fat, overweight, getting picked on and teased in school and getting rejected and judged as an adult. We have struggled with weight most of our lives and have had enough. We have decided that we need to get our shit together, stop making excuses and start living happy and healthy lives. We will not rely on food to drown our emotions or to fill a void.
However, we are not going on a "diet" nor a "cleanse" nor are we going to try a quick fix solution to drop the weight fast only to discover that it is impossible to sustain it long term. This is a commitment to be conscious of what we eat and how we live our lives - do we choose TV over fitness because it's easier, or will we put ourselves first and exercise our bodies and our minds?
So, here we go. 30 pounds ... should be scary but its really not.
Wish us luck!
